What do you do with a somewhat out-of-place spa in the middle of your entertaining space?  You turn it into an eye-catching water feature.  Then, we gave the client the additional lawn space they wanted by building several small walls that pushed back the slope just enough to make the space feel twice as large.  Although they wanted a tropical look, we wanted to reduce the watering requirements, and so we employed our “responsible tropical” approach.  By incorporating less thirsty plants in an innovative way, we achieve a tropical look without the high water requirement.
